How to Update

Why keeping your device up to date is important:

  1. Ensures compatibility with most programs/apps
  2. Keeps your device updated with the latest security patches to avoid getting malware
  3. Helps your device run faster and adds new features that may benefit you

Steps for Windows:

  1. Click on Windows start button in bottom left
  2. Search for settings and click on it
  3. Click on update and security and click check for updates
  4. If there are any updates your computer will automatically start doing them

Keep in mind that your computer may restart during these updates, and that is okay.

Steps for Mac:

  1. Click on Apple button in top left
  2. Click on About this Mac
  3. Click on Software Update
  4. Check if you have any available updates and allow them to update if you do
  5. It is also recommended to click the Automatic Updates checkmark to ensure your computer remains up to date

Steps for iPhone:

  1. Open settings app
  2. Press “General”
  3. Press “Software Update”
  4. If you have an available update, press “Install Now.” If not it will say you are up to date

Steps for Android:

  1. Click on settings app
  2. Scroll down to software update and click it
  3. Click on download and install
  4. If there are any updates your phone will automatically start doing them
